Dream of a free country!!!

Dream of a free country!!!

Independence!! freedom!!! every now and then these words makes me think little more than usual, especially in our independence day, we are free definitely but most of it only in paper and documents. What this freedom means is a matter of debate, is the situation of the common man now better? May be or is it just the same just changed its cover, once the drain of wealth happened, all the money and fortune were soaked and sent off to another country by the people of that country, now the money of India still going out in foreign banks but by the people of our own free country, now looting the country is in our own hands, so I think we are free. Still the life of a common man, a poor man who are the majority have no basic normal comfortable life, not every day they can afford food for their children, many children of our country still don’t have any education, proper health care, they have rights but only on paper not in reality.

Still rich people are getting very rich and poor is paying for just being poor. Is it really independence? From what, a foreign rule? Yes we are free from foreign rules, but we are being held hostage by corruption, illiteracy, and minimum development of human life. Still our children don’t get a safe life a safe place to grow up to be a proper citizen, they are living in hunger, without any special medical care, without education, many of them working in slums for money, we are free to watch the future of our country diminishing day by day by poverty, many Indians are free to die in hunger and starvation without home.

It’s been 67 years still we are still a developing country, which generation will live to see a fully developed India, people living moderately in all classes, standing beside one another without any conflict and petty divisions? I don’t think our generation will have that honor, may be next or next to them but if that day comes the celebration of independence day will be a true one, it will be a journey to remember, but that destination still hazy, it’s like an utopia but if we are free to dream then we can achieve it one day. Today 15 august 2013 standing under the bright sky watching our teeranga flag waving in the wind I dare to dream of a free India free from ignorance, fear, corruption, poverty, violence, may be years later someone can witness all that in reality not in a dream.
